Scrap the Patchwork Girl

Scrap the Patchwork Girl has been created for the Wizard of Oz challenge at Dollstreet Dreamers. The dolls will be displayed in a special exhibit at AFIC conference in Ohio in April.

I did not want to do the Lion, Tin man, Dorothy or Scarecrow because I figured a lot of people would choose those. When I saw Scrap during a Google search, she stole my heart. I did not want to do a floppy rag doll style, as Scrap exhibits a lot of movement, so I gave her a full body armature. She also has very exaggerated cartoon like white gloves, and only 3 fingers which is typical. But I gave her 4 fingers, could not help myself,

This is not a typical doll for me to make, but was she ever fun! All the patchwork sewing was a bit labor intensive, but I think the doll captures the spirit of Scrap!
